Solar energy is a major renewable energy source with the potential to meet many of the challenges facing the world. Solar is a safe alternative which can replace current fossil fuels like coal and gas for generation of electricity that produce air, water, and land pollution. Pristine forests are destroyed for mining raw materials like fossil or nuclear fuels. Trees constantly remove and use carbon dioxide from the air to make their food, and this carbon is then stored in them. When forests are cut for mining raw materials for conventional energy, this major carbon sink disappears and also increases climate change. Moreover the animal species are also disappearing due to deforestation. Switching to solar power is important to keep these habitats intact for the animals who live there as well as continue to keep the air clean.
SOLAR POWER PLANTS:- A solar power plant is based on the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaic (PV), or indirectly using concentrated solar power (CSP). A solar power plant is used in an active manner when the energy from the sun is converted directly into a useable form which can be used for powering all kinds of appliances that are present in the house on a normal basis. Passive use of solar energy takes place when houses and buildings have been created in such a manner that they get the maximum exposure to the rays of the sun. SOLAR PV POWER PLANTS:- Generally we us Solar Photo-voltaic Power Plants for Power Generation. The technical diagram is shown below: There are two types of Solar Photo-voltaic Power Plants:-SL.NO. | NAME OF WORK | DEPARTMENT | CAPACITY |
