Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Segment Manager to oversee and drive growth in the Power and Lighting segment, focusing on solar streetlights and electrical works. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in solar and electrical systems, proven leadership in segment management, and a strategic mindset to achieve sales and project execution goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Business Development:
Develop and execute strategies to expand the solar streetlight and electrical works segment.
Identify market trends, emerging technologies, and new opportunities in solar and power lighting systems.
Build strong relationships with government agencies, private organizations, and infrastructure developers for project acquisition.
Conduct market research to identify target customers, key competitors, and pricing strategies.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
Drive sales targets for solar streetlights, power distribution, and related electrical works.
Prepare proposals, presentations, and tenders for solar and electrical projects.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify leads and convert them into long-term clients.
Oversee cost estimations and negotiate contracts to ensure profitability.
Project Management:
Oversee project execution for solar streetlighting and electrical works, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities for solar streetlights and associated electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to address project challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.
Technical Oversight:
Provide technical guidance on solar streetlight designs, electrical layouts, and power distribution systems.
Ensure proper selection of components, including solar panels, batteries, LED lights, inverters, and poles.
Evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance system efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor the performance of installed systems and recommend improvements when required.
Team Management & Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, engineers, and project managers.
Conduct regular training sessions to upskill the team in solar and electrical technologies.
Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
Experience:
7–10 years of experience in the power and lighting industry, with a focus on solar streetlights and electrical works.
Proven track record of managing projects and achieving sales targets in a similar role.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of solar lighting systems, including panel sizing, battery management, and LED technology.
Proficiency in electrical systems design and power distribution networks.
Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations for solar and electrical projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
