Solar Power Plants
Based upon the requirement of the customer, the solar power plant can be on-grid or off-grid. Surya International has experience working in both cases. We have a huge client list in these fields, which you can check out above. The company is now working on its new projects based on the concept ‘floating solar power plant’.
Solar Water Pumping projects
Surya International has long been working on such kinds of projects and is now the leading EPC Company in this sector. The principle of these projects is really simple. Water needs to be pumped out of the source to the agricultural fields using solar energy whenever needed.
Solar Water Treatment Plant
It is just like a conventional water treatment plant, while it is being powered by solar energy. The total process remains the same. The water is collected from any natural source. Then it is passed through FRP pressure vessels, which acts as the chamber of filtration. There the raw water undergoes several chemical processes. Finally, after the treatment, the clean water is stored in a water storage tank which is further distributed through the piping system.
Solar Street Lights Projects
We have a lot of experience in placing street lights across the streets and around the communities. We make sure the streetlights are as per the dimensions provided and poles have been erected properly. More than 40000 solar street lights are erected over the states of Odisha, Jharkhand, and other north-eastern states.

Solar Power Plant

There are two models for solar power plants. They are:-
- RESCO Model: – The RESCO model is a zero-investment model in which the consumer pays only for the electricity generated, while the solar plant is owned by the RESCO developer. People can utilize the electricity that is generated without worrying about any of the associated operations and maintenance issues. People only have to pay a pre-decided monthly tariff which is lower than prevailing grid electricity tariff.
- CAPEX Model: – CAPEX is often used to undertake new projects or investments by the firm. Making capital expenditures on fixed assets can include everything from repairing a roof to building, to purchasing a piece of equipment, to building a brand-new factory. This type of financial outlay is also made by companies to maintain or increase the scope of their operations.
Based on these models, Surya International has worked on 3 types of solar power plants.
- Off-grid solar power plants: – Being off grid means the power system is not connected to the electricity grid. It is more popular and independent system. A 5 kW off grid system is sufficient for a domestic use of 2-4 BHK house. For commercial system you may need a larger system.

- On-grid solar power plant: – Bring on grid means the power system is connected/tied up to the utility grid. The electricity if over produced is fed to the utility grid.

- Hybrid solar power plant: – It is quite similar to on-grid system, but uses special hybrid inverters and batteries to store energy for later use.

Camp Coach Railway
In India, more than 8.44 billion people depend upon railways as a means of transport. The railway system uses a huge amount of electricity to run and operate. Switching over to renewable energy could be more convenient as it would draw less energy from the grid.
Surya International recently worked on a solar project in which solar installations were made over the railway coaches. The solar panels were placed over the roof of railway coaches. The electricity so generated was fed to the compartments below for running the electrical components.
